Long time no blogging…

Hello everyone, I deeply apologise for not posting in a VERY long time!

Basically I’ve been busy doing an assortment of things!

1. College Life📚

Last year I was on a beauty course and I completely switched my career path into a business course in September. At the start I was so happy to start college, meet new friends etc. I even did a back to college haul on YouTube. Unfortunately that flipped 2 weeks later! I arrived a little late into college, so I guess everyone already fixed themselves into ‘groups’ and it was just me, by myself at break and lunch. So the idea of friends has flushed itself down the toilet! And too be completely honest I’m not happy here and I’ve been counting down the days until I’m 18 and I can leave college (54 days).

2. First Job💸

I’m obviously not going to state where I work but I work in retail.

It’s was my first job and it’s all down to my fabulous mummy who got me it! I jumped at a chance of working for a place i know quite well, thank got my mum was sat down when I said I’ll apply for it! Anyway, although I’m only working when I’m not at college (weekends) as I’m on a Zero-hour contract, it’s a good choice for a first job. (Try’s to stay positive) but when I publish this I won’t be in the job, it’s been a nice 3 months but I need to move to a job, where I get more hours around my time as I really need to earn more money! (Being in beauty isn’t easy!) so I will be handing in my notice before Christmas!

3. Instagram

At the moment I’m trying my hardest to make something out of my Instagram. If you didn’t know I have a beauty account where I review products but funky up the the videos a little. I love doing it, but it’s a big commitment for someone whose 17, in college, has a job and doesn’t have money I can fling around buy things to review. It takes time to think of what to film, to film it (hope it’s good enough to use), edit it, find the right effect & music (to look cool & that I have a social life). I could editing for hours on end and I haven’t done anything for half of my day (which gets me in trouble).

But I’m going to take on a bigger challenge..YOUTUBE!!!!

Now, 2016 I’m going moving to YouTube! I’m excited but nervous but I’ve got to do this! I’m 17 and 18 VERY soon I need to find my career path and I WANT TO BE A YOUTUBER!!

There I said it! My grandparents might not understand but it’s like a dream And I must make my dreams into my reality! Ever since I was young as an only child i would create my own games, in which I was a YouTuber! I guess I’ve wanted to be one in a long while and There’s always been an excuse for me not to start! So now is my time!!!

I bet there are umpteen reasons for not posting but there are some I’ve listed + a life update for 2016!

1. Do you have any siblings?

I am an only child. Which during my childhood had its twist and turns on how it affected me? I’d say when I turned around 14, It didn’t really bother me anymore

2. What is your middle name?

My middle name is Tamara. This was meant to be my name until my Mums dad said that he’d nickname me Tomato.

Yes, I’m Jessica Tomato.

3. What are your hobbies?

Singing: I do like to sing, with honesty it’s something that I currently like to keep to myself. Even though I actually plan on singing for my Instagram reintroduction Video.Photography, Video Editing, Reading and Writing.

Photography: I love taking, look and editing photos. I find various iPhone apps very interesting.

Video Editing: I love being creative and although it’s been a while since I uploaded a video, I’m always on the lookout for apps to edit videos.

Reading & Writing: I hoard books. I admit I have not read all of the books I own. I also want to write my own book. I’m currently writing a story which hopefully I’d publish in the future.

4. Do you have any talents?

Well, I sing, as mentioned above. I can bend the top of my index on its own and my tongue can touch my nose.

5. Favourite smells?

I love the smell of coconut, cotton fresh and shea butter.

6. Where were you born?

A town in Lincolnshire, UK. It’s not that exciting.

7. Do you have any pets?

I have two. A 3-year-old pug, Prince aka Pops and a 2-Year-old Boxer, Lennox Lewis aka Socks.

8. What is your favourite colour?

I like Sky Blue and Purple but show me something Copper/Rose Gold and I’ll fall in love with it!

9. What are your favourite songs at the moment?

10. What phone do you have?

iPhone 6s, It was my mum’s phone after she got an iPhone 7.

11. When was the last time you cried?

I watched ‘1 litre of tears’ Japanese TV show for the second time at 1 am and it killed me.

I honestly don’t watch a lot of English TV but I like ‘My Mad Fat Diary’ and ‘The 100’.

14. Tell us one of your bad habits.

Biting my nails.

15. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I seriously hate first impressions. It’s just another way of judging others. I know people judge me on what I look like just by seeing my face. I feel like if you look at their body before the face, it’s very rude.

16. What is your Favourite drink?

It’s bad but I can’t help myself from drinking Pepsi! Fizzy drinks are an obsession. My favourite alcoholic drink is either a Dark fruit Cider or Vanilla and Passionfruit Chardonnay.

17. What is your favourite book?

I’m Enjoying ‘The 100’ Books by Kass Morgan. I have all four books but I haven’t read Book two yet!

18. What is your favourite animal?

I’m Obsessed with Owls. It started since secondary school, I don’t know why. Well, I prefer fake owls, real-life owls seem to scare me.

19. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yours?

Yes. I would be. I know I don’t have friends now, but that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed, friends. I mean, I am Quiet but once you get to know me you see that I’m a completely different person.

20. What is your favourite movie?

I like movies such as Braveheart, Camp Rock 1&2, Taken 1, 2&3 and Underworld 1.

21. Favourite memory from childhood?

I like to remember memories of my late Nanna H the most. I actually have a storytime I want to share with you regarding the day before she passed away.

22. Do you speak any different languages?

I have a school certificate in french but it doesn’t make any difference, as I only remember some words as My recent Asian TV obsession has made me learn a few words in Korean.

23. How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had?

I have never been in a relationship. I have never really been interested and I’m sure no one has been interested in me either. I admit I crushed on two people. One in Primary School and One in Secondary but when I was in school if you didn’t you were strange as well as if you have never dated. I said I did have a Boyfriend just to keep everyone quiet but someone close to me found out that ‘ Mark Shore’ was a lie.

24. How would you describe your fashion sense?

I would say that my style is casual and wearable. I don’t really shop much and I buy bigger shirts to feel comfortable.

25. Computer or television?

Computer, How else would I watch Kdramas?

26. Summer or Winter?

Winter. I hate Summer for its bugs and hot weather but I love Summer when it comes to photography.

Fun fact: I have Ice more in the Winter than I do in the Summer.

27. What would you (or have you) name your children?

I don’t have children and haven’t really thought about having kids till recently, However, I Play Sims 3 name my Children there. I like the names Avery, Kaiden and I like the idea of having a quirky name, so instead of a name like Alexis, it would be Alexiz or Danyl instead of Daniel.

28. Funniest moment throughout School?

Wait! School was meant to be fun? I liked school for socialising and only took part in lessons to make people proud.

29. Scary movie or happy endings?

Scary movies give me the adrenaline and all the Kdramas I love have Lovey-Dovey happy endings.

Possibly Both.

30. What do you want to be when you grow up?

That’s what I ask myself all the time. I’m still figuring that out. I have dreams but I don’t know about my future.

It’s time to get used to me…

Hey Guys!

If you didn’t know I’m officially starting YouTube!
It’s been a dream I haven’t dared to live, it’s something I’m passionate about.

I’ve talked it through with myself over and over and over.
“Is it the right idea?”

“What if people from my Past find my channel”

“What about hate?”

“Will this even become something?”

“Who would care to watch me?”

“I’m not like everyone, what if I don’t fit in?”
All the above are negative! But why not try! I never know what will happen by the end of this year!
I have been wanting to be a YouTuber for so long…

(Right now I’m typing and About to cringe) I used to ‘pretend youtube’ *closes eyes and screams internally* but why not make my fantasy being a reality?!
I’m just a girl who is ‘different’ than others. Probably not a subject for this entry but I’m like no other…in a way, I AM unique!
I’m just an 18 year old, who lives with her parents and doesn’t have a career right now.
although I wish I started sooner, I’m now confident, I expect hate and that’s okay. Well yes, whatever is thrown at me will hurt but I’m gonna be on youtube, living the dream I’ve wanted that feels like a lifetime.

I need to stay focused.

New YouTube Creator Tag 2016

Here’s a written version for my YouTube Video.

Q1. What is your name?

My name Jessica, You can call me Jess, unless you’re a family member ie. Mum, Dad & Grandparents, It’s Jessica.

Q2. Where are you from?

I am from Lincolnshire in the United Kingdom. Many have said that I have a Lincolnshire Accent, but I just really try my best to sound British as I grew up watching American Disney TV Shows.

Q3. Is this your first channel?

When I was fourteen, I tried to make a channel, with me singing and trying to ‘inspire’, but someone from my school found it and made fun of me. I then I told people that if they wanted to hear me sing to come up to me (they never did) I did take down the video as it knocked my confidence and have been wanting to restart again, but without singing.

Q4. What does your username mean?

My Username Honeymoonbeauty originally was a catchy name for my social media, especially my Instagram. I have recently seen this quote which mentions about how beauty isn’t all about makeup, fashion etc. and how it’s about inner beauty. This channel will be used to express myself and to show a side of me which I have never shown before.

Q5. What is your channel about?

On my channel you will find, The obvious beauty videos (it’s in my name) however I am not a pro and I’m still learning. You will see the fun side, possible fun and games. My cousins are always asking when we can film the Bean Boozled Challenge and the Chubby Bunny Game. You will also see me doing storytimes and personal talks. I also hope that my content will grow when people like what they see. I know I seem to be like every YouTuber out there but I hope you see something in me and want to watch my videos.

Q6. Why should anyone subscribe to your channel?

Don’t feel the need to subscribe and don’t be forced. I hope you find an interest in my videos, and I hope most of you can relate to me as I do with the channels I subscribe to.

Q7. Where do you see yourself and your YouTube channel in 5 years?

Me? I’m not sure, I hope I am doing what I love and no longer procrastinate on things I want to do currently. As well as having a good income as I’m currently unemployed.

My Channel? If youtube is strong & I have managed to handle my channel, I do hope my channel has given me opportunities. I don’t like looking back or ahead of myself but overall I want to be. I don’t like looking back or ahead of myself but overall I want to be happy and I hope those around me are also happy.

Q8. What inspired you to start making videos?

Before I decided that I want to make videos, many know that I have an account on Instagram which has been around for 2 years now (although recently I haven’t posted) making these videos was down to someone who asked on one of my Instagram posts where I found the ‘Berry Bomb’ Electro Baby Lips in the video. I replied and ‘Stalked’, I saw she was making these videos and I too took an interest as I was studying beauty and I had experience in little editing (My cringe days on twitter as a Kim Kardashian Holywood character account) So I gave it a try. Although I found myself older than most in the ‘Beauty Community’ and viewing arguments. I wanted to move to YouTube however I never felt that push. I felt I was waiting for the day to even make this video.

Q9. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?

DoddleOddle – I found Dodie myself last year and was able to relate to her songs and content.

QKND – Although she talks the most about being tattooed and I don’t have tattoos nor see myself getting one. I seem to be attracted to her videos, I feel like we relate in some way.

Jessie Paege – We connect with our social awkwardness and her vibrant joyful videos.

Jessii Vee – another Jessie.. (we gotta stick together) I love her storytimes and feel attracted to her content.

There are much more, and those are who I subscribe to, I think that’s available for you to see.

Q10. The best thing I’ve seen on YouTube?

Youtube has its pros. It’s a way for people to find people who are similar. building relationships, being ourselves and getting possible opportunities.

Q11. The worst thing I’ve seen on YouTube?

YouTube can also have cons. Everyone knows Trolls and Haters exist and they don’t seem to allow you to be you and post what you love. I do know I’ll be hated ‘on’ one day but possibly for things I already know and have known all my life. Also currently Youtube brands are deciding to pull out which isn’t helping those who currently use this as a job but I don’t see this happen to me currently soon.

Q12. What are your goals when it comes to YouTube?

I’m not going to lie my goals are to gain something from this channel, but I currently just want my channel to be fun for me and for me to be myself and to also possible to inspire others.

Q13. Any advice for new YouTubers?

Do what you love. If you’re that person who really wants to make videos and you’re 13+ please do and don’t delay. I did because of school but I wish I was doing this sooner. Post what you love but with positive vibes.
